New to Jiu Jitsu What You Should Know Before Your First Class
Walking into your first Jiu Jitsu class can feel intimidating. Most beginners assume they need strength, flexibility, or fighting experience. None of that is required.
Your first sessions focus on fundamentals. You will learn:
• how to move safely
• how to protect yourself in basic positions
• how to create space under pressure
• how to stay calm while learning
Training is controlled and structured. Partners help each other improve. The goal is not to win rounds but to understand positions and build awareness.
Progress in Jiu Jitsu comes from consistency. Show up. Learn something small. Repeat.
